Born in Manhattan, Olivia Rigal spent her youth going back and forth between the United States and France.
She lived and studied law in both countries.
While studying she kept herself busy with a variety of jobs.
She worked in the Clignancourt Flea Market as well as in a Parisian recording studio.
In Manhattan, she was a dog groomer and then an administrative assistant in a famous English auction house.
Olivia settled in France to raise her family. She travelled throughout South East Asia and has a special fondness for Laos and Thailand.
When her law practice does not keep her busy in Paris, she runs away to write novels in her Florida home next to MacArthur Beach State Park.
In December 2012 she started publishing short novels in English as an independent. Early 2014, she began translating them into French.
The story she tells stand alone. However her characters often meet so you can run into them again in several stories.

Excerpt: Lyv is a curvy and optimistic girl who can’t wait to finish high school and run away from her drunk mother. Emotional abuse is what that woman dishes out best in the family’s Long Island diner.
Lyv’s only support is her best friend Ten, a passionate guy from the right side of the track. But Ten has already moved on to college so there’s only so much he can do to help her get through her senior year and then he’ll soon be going away to study in Europe for a term.
When the Christmas holidays come around, Ten takes Lyv out for a night on the town.

This is a great story in so many ways. Think YA meets NA and explode into a world that you can't help but love. Lyv is such a fantastic character. She lives in a world that is emotionally abuse (her mother), but works hard and always has a smile and brings sunshine to everyone else's world. She's got a fantastic best friend Ten (aka Tennessee). He's got his own issues with his mother but overall he's got it a bit better than Lyv. They find each other when they are children and because of Ten's influential family, Lyv's mothers restaurant finds itself on the "map" so to speak. So even though she'd love to tell Lyv "NO" on hanging out with Ten, she doesn't really have a leg to stand on and she knows it.
Ten takes her out one night where they both meet Alexander. Both of them think he's hot but Alexander only has his eye on Lyv. They miss each other that night but Alexander doesn't give up and he finds Ten and sets something up so he can have some time with Lyv. They get along great and end up having a fantastic night together before Alexander has to move on for a Band Tour. Not too long after that Lyvv discovers she's pregnant. She doesn't care what happens between her and Alexander...she wants the baby no matter what. The only problem? Her Evil stepmother. I won't tell you what happens with the baby but that part of the story doesn't have a happy ending.
Lyv makes it back to New York and manages to call Ten, who comes to rescue her. At this point she's already 18 and she stays with Ten and his two roommates Oliver and Andrew (who happens to be Alexander's older cop brother). She finally finds a home and things are looking up for her. Ten is sweet and takes care of her and Lyv kind of babies the entire male group. She ends up with Alexander again when he comes back for awhile, before leaving on tour again.
I don't want to say too much. Lyv does find her own Happily Ever After. It might not be in the traditional sense but real life is hardly perfect and folks don't always get the HEA they think they want. Its still a happy ending though and the guy meant for her is a good choice. Solid and dependable and attractive and he has a very sexy side in the bedroom! ;)
Anyways, if you enjoy YA/NA stories this is definitely a story to pick up.
